The Nutcracker Sweet Peach Face Compact includes a powder blusher in At Dusk and a powder highlighter in Tutu. They are both Mac's Extra Dimension Skinfinish formula which is a finely milled, creamy powder consistency and supposed to wear for ten (highlight) and six (blusher) hours. I can't confirm that as I very rarely wear makeup for that long.
As this is a limited edition product, it sold out pretty quickly and is no longer available at Mac Cosmetics UK.
At Dusk is a really pretty medium warm pink with a satin finish. The colour pay-off is really good and builds nicely. I love the luminous finish of this blush as it gives that healthy glowing from within appearance. I use my Spectrum blush brush to apply it to my cheeks and it picks up the colour really easily and distributes colour evenly. I've worn At Dusk every day since having it; it's muted enough to go with every makeup look but buildable for a more intense cheek.
Tutu is a stunning light white peach with a metallic finish. It is a soft, shimmering, simply stunning highlighter and I can't get enough of it. It doesn't have any chunky glittery particles so leaves a luminous sheen to the skin that is easy to build up for an all day glow. I use my Sigma tapered highlighter brush to apply it to the tops of my cheek bones and cupids bow. It distributes colour evenly and isn't too hard in the pan. If I could wear Tutu all over my body, trust me, I would.
This palette is perfect for pale skin and of course since I've been wearing it every day, I'm now worried about running out and never being able to get these colours again. Why does Mac always do this to us?
Overall, I'm so impressed with this palette, the colours and formula are amazing; the packaging is beyond gorgeous and the embossing on the powders give it that little something extra. Mac always go above and beyond with their details and the Nutcracker collection is perfection.
