I haven't taken part in a tag post for so long, so when the lovely Francesca over at My Life in Rose Tinted Glasses nominated me, I thought it was about time I got back on that bandwagon and divulged even more about me. I mean, it's not like I don't share everything as it is anyway, so why not?
Question One - How tall are you?
I think I'm 5'3 but I like to tell people that I'm 5'4; I don't really know why, it's not like anyone is going to get a tape measure out and call me out for bullshitting on the extra inch. But let's go with 5'4 so I feel better about myself.
Question Two - Do you have a hidden talent?
Other than the flexibility thing that comes with EDS and putting my legs behind my head; I'm pretty good at accents. I used to call my Mum and speak to her in an Irish accent pretending I was some random telesales assistant when I was in my teens. I've almost, kind of got the Geordie accent down too, thanks to Geordie Shore.
Question Three - What's you biggest blog related pet peeve?
I hate blog comments that are two words and 'check out my blog, Insta, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter, cousins-boyfriends-dogs-Tumblr'. Just stop. Fuck off. I know you've not read it, stop wasting my time.
Question Four - What's your biggest non-blog related pet peeve?
People that don't indicate when driving. It's not difficult, we all learnt to do it during driving lessons, the indicators are there for a reason. Omg, just thinking about it is winding me up. AND, people that park over dropped-curbs or on the pavement - I have a wheelchair, get out of my way.
Question Five - What's your favourite song?
Loving Memory by Alter Bridge shall forever have a special place in my heart.
Question Six - What's your favourite social media website?
Easy, Twitter. I've made some amazing friends on there, there's always someone to talk to and it's just my preferred platform, it has been for a long time.
Question Seven - What's your favourite way to spend your time when you're alone?
I love devouring books so am usually doing that, but if not, I like watching makeup videos on YouTube or watching reality TV. Okay, not watching reality telly, shouting at it.
Question Eight - What's your favourite junk food?
I love chocolate; if I could eat it for every meal I would. I also really like a Maccies. I absolutely hate this question though, I've been eating healthily for two months and I miss both chocolate and Big Mac's *sobs*
Question Nine - Do you have a pet or pets? If so, what kind? And what are their names?
I don't but I would love a dog. My brother has two German Shepherds and I adore them both. They're called Shadow and Titan.
Question Ten - What are your number one favourite non-fiction and fiction books?
My favourite novel is The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. I love the Victorian era and that book was so radical for the time. I adore Jane Eyre, and also really enjoyed The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern. For non-fiction it'd be the Post Secret books by Frank Warren, they make me feel every emotion as they're real secrets that people have never shared before. I could list so many more books, but they're definitely at the top of my list.
Question Eleven - What's your favourite beauty product or tool?
Oh god, how am I meant to decide? I guess I'm all about the liquid lipstick, I just find them so easy to work with and they last for ages so why bother with reapplying and faffing about? I also have a massive soft spot for eye shadow palettes, highlighter (make me glow) and perfume.
Question Twelve - When were you last embarrassed? What happened?
Embarrassing myself is a regular occurrence but I guess the last time I remember feeling mortified was a few weeks ago when I had to call my consultants secretary to leave a message. It got to the beep and I was all ready and willing to recite all my information for her to ring me back and I ended up forgetting my name, my date of birth and saying, 'oh fucking hell, I mean, no, shit, sorry.' Then hanging up. Awkward.
Question Thirteen - If you could only drink one beverage (besides water) for the rest of your life what would it be?
Pepsi Max. That and water is basically all I drink anyway, with the occasional hot chocolate. I don't like coffee, and don't drink a lot of tea. So, yeah.
Question Fourteen - What's your favourite movie?
Question Fifteen - What was your favourite lesson in school and why?
English. Hence why I have a BA and MA in English...I love literature, always have. Reading novels, writing poetry and fiction are a great passion of mine, and I just thoroughly enjoyed it. I guess it helped that I was really good at it too. Plus, I met my best friend in English class sixteen years ago.
Question Sixteen - If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
If you'd have asked me this a few years ago I'd have said Canada, but living away from my family for the last two years has been really tough, so the north west. Of England, obvs.
Question Seventeen - PC or Mac?
I've only ever had PC's.
Question Eighteen - Last romantic gesture from a crush, date, boy/girlfriend, spouse? (Or any kind gesture from a friend)
My boyfriend is pretty cute and I'm not the most affectionate or romantic person at all; he always, ALWAYS kisses me before leaving the room, even if he's just going to get a shower.
Question Nineteen - Favourite celebrity?
Can we change this to 'celebrity crush'? Hello, Mr Chris Hemsworth, take me to Asgard.
Question Twenty - What blogger do you secretly want to be best friends with?
Why would I need blogger besties when I already have Beth and Elle? I bloody love these girls, we rarely go a day without chatting - they get me, they're my peeps. I wish they both lived closer.
Question Twenty One - Who is your biggest inspiration?
Okay, get the sick bucket; it's my Mum. She's the most loving, caring woman and would do anything for anyone. She's got the most annoyingly loud laugh but a heart of gold; I don't know what I'd do without her. She's an amazing lady who has been through so much and is a warrior. I love her to death.
Question Twenty Two - What is your favourite blog to read?
I love so many and read loads so couldn't decide. If you have a conversational tone, are a great writer with interesting content, I'll keep coming back.
Question Twenty Three - What is your favourite high street shop?
Boots, obviously. I don't really do fashion, I live that pyjama life so clothes aren't my thing. Makeup and skincare though? Yes, please.
Question Twenty Four - Are you in education or do you work?
I volunteer with Enhance the UK and Scope. I'm disabled and in chronic pain, and with a body that does whatever it wants, whenever it wants, I'm not very reliable. Being in pain every hour of the day makes things difficult.
Question Twenty Five - One thing you are proud of?
The biggest thing that changed me was when my nephew, Kaine was born; I'm incredibly proud to be his auntie and I bloody idolise him. Yes, KP!
