My favourites were difficult to narrow down this month as I've tried quite a lot of new products and the majority of them have really impressed me. Alas, when I looked at everything I'd used the most in July, or how much I raved about them, these were the things that kept standing out.
Stila Perfect Me, Perfect Hue Eye and Cheek Palette - Fair/Light | £28 | Stila |
If you're lucky enough to be going on holiday (I envy you) and don't want to take a lot of makeup, this is the palette for you, it's the perfect size for travelling. Stila made four of these palettes with different colours to complement all skin tones. In it you get five eyeshadows and two blushers. As much as I hope one palette would be enough for me to travel with, I'm a makeup addict and it's not, but for someone who doesn't wear a lot of makeup, or wants a good all-round palette, this is ideal. I did a full review last week and you can check it out here.
This vibrant coral coloured lipstick is absolutely stunning, if I could bow at its feet, (I know lipstick doesn't have feet) I would. I did a haul last month and got five new shades, you can check that out here. The DOC formula is my all-time favourite, I just love how comfortable it is, how long-wearing and how pigmented it is. I'm pretty much addicted to liquid lipstick and I can't get enough of Dose of Colors. As for Coral Crush, it's just a gorgeous shockingly-bright colour that looks great against my paleness, and I can't get enough. There's an in-depth review of Bare With Me and Truffle here.
I'm a massive fan of LVL Enhance, it's a treatment I've been getting for about 3 years. It's basically an eyelash treatment that enhances your own lashes by straightening them from the root to give a more longer, lifted effect which lasts for 6-8 weeks. I get mine done religiously every 6 weeks. However, I was sent the lash Conditioning Serum last month and I've noticed a huge difference in the longevity of my LVL's; it's kind of ridiculous how bloody good this product is. The serum is used as aftercare for LVL Enhance but can also be used as a lash primer before mascara. I apply it before I do my eye makeup, and then again just before bed. It nourishes each individual eyelash locking in moisture and in my opinion prolonging the amazingness of LVL. Usually by the sixth week I've already booked my next lash appointment but I'm coming up to week 8 and my lashes still have a curl and there's no unruly overlaps. I photographed the whole LVL process back in Feb and you can see just how fab this treatment is here #lashgang
If you're anything like me and you want a highlighter that is so glowy that not only can you be seen from space, you can be seen in the future, you'll love the ABH Glow Kits. Crushed Pearl and Starburst in this palette were calling out my name, but when I dusted Hard Candy on the top of my cheekbones I couldn't be pulled away from the mirror. The shimmer is so beautiful, it's not chunky or glittery; it just adds a stunning sheen to the face. It's also an amazing price as the pans are huge - unless you're highlighting your whole body on the daily, you're very unlikely to hit pan. Full review right here!
Doll White 7 Day Teeth Whitening Strips* | £12.99 | Doll White |
These non-peroxide teeth whitening strips actually really surprised me. I wasn't too sure what to expect but after my seven day trial was up, I bought another 14 strips (and am getting more on pay day). They come in individual sachets with a plastic sheet inside containing two strips with the gel product that you place on your upper and lower teeth. You then wait for 30 minutes. I put mine on after I did my nighttime brush and noticed a difference after a few days. Doll White strips remove stains and claim to give you whiter teeth in seven days - and I have to admit, they really do. They're easy to use and I've noticed a significant difference. If you're looking for a teeth whitening product definitely check this out.
