Anastasia Beverly Hills Gleam Glow Kit Review

Anastasia is renowned as the queen of brows; she then added contour palettes to her collection, eye shadows, and liquid lipsticks, and then hallelujah, highlighters. I reviewed an ABH individual highlighter in Starlight when they were released late last year and you can read that here, if you fancy an even more glowing (see what I did there) read.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Gleam Glow Kit | £39 | Beauty Bay |

Are you a pale prin? Then this is the ABH Glow Kit you go for. The kit comes with four stunning highlighters that will blind passersby when they're within twenty-five miles of you (sarcasm, my friends, sarcasm).

Hard Candy - Golden peach with pink pearl shimmer
Mimosa - Metallic peach with golden undertones
Starburst - Iridescent neutral pink with cool undertones
Crushed Pearl - Pearlescent pink with frosty finish

I was quite fearful of Hard Candy since it's much darker than what I'm used to wearing; I was scared it was going to look really obvious on my milk-bottle cheekbones, and steered clear of it for the first few weeks of owning the kit. I finally wore it a few weekends ago when my 3 year old nephew was here, (he loves helping me get ready and I let him pick what colours I should wear) and he picked it out of my mountains of other highlighters. I tried to get him to pick something else but he wasn't having it. I used a fan brush, dusted it on my face and instantly added more, it was stunning. The peach really popped and I fell slightly in love.

Obviously, Crushed Pearl is my favourite shade in the palette, it's light and adds that gorgeous sheen to the skin that I really like. This is my 'glowing from within' colour, for sure.

The powder formula is silky, pigmented and very easy to blend. I apply it with either a fan brush or a tapered highlighting brush, and they both apply the product evenly. The shimmer is very fine so there is no chunky glittery particles on the face, and it doesn't emphasise any pores or texture - or at least I don't find that it does. Adding highlight over problem areas will always accentuate them, so bear that in mind.

I think the price is awesome and was shocked at how big the pans were when I opened my parcel from Beauty Bay; they're such a good size and for me, excellent value for money. I'm a huge fan of the ABH Glow Kit, and haven't worn anything else since purchasing it four weeks ago. If you want to glow, get your hands on these.

Have you tried any Anastasia Beverly Hills products?

  4. This is the same glow kit I went for and I'm loving it. I'm always getting compliments when I wear it. Some of the bolder shades look really good dusted on top of blush 😊
