Shockingly my top five favourites don't include any makeup items; I can't believe it, I don't even know who I am any more. I didn't really try a lot of new beauty products in April, but fear not, I'm sure May will be makeup galore.
NSPA Exotically Creamy Coconut Bath and Shower Gel | £3 | Asda |
I love the NSPA shower gels from Asda, they're inexpensive, extremely moisturising, last for ages and smell incredible. I've been using the Shea Butter gel for quite a while and absolutely loved it, but when it recently ran out, I put my coconut one in the shower caddy and began to use that. I couldn't help singing, 'if you like Pina Coladas, and getting caught in the rain,' as the coconut scent hits you right in the face as soon as you open the cap. The whole house (we have a small bungalow), is filled with a delicious coconut fragrance after I've showered and I love it. For £3, it's bloody amazing.
Although I only reviewed this product last week, I really wanted to include it in my favourites because it's so good. You can read my full review here. But to cut a long story short, it's dermalogically tested, paraben free, non-greasy, soaks in quickly, and intensely moisturising. It's just fab, I highly recommend it.
I'm not going into too much detail about this as I have a full review coming in the next few weeks. However, I've wore this perfume everyday since it landed on my doorstep. It's a sweet, floral and feminine scent that is perfect for the Spring/Summer months. I'm obsessed.
If you have dry, dehydrated skin, if you have dry patches, if you're looking to hydrate your skin - look no further. I've been using GlamGlow for a few years and I'm always shocked at how quickly ThirstyMud saves my skin from drying out. My skin is a bit of a nightmare, I'm combination skin but have dry, dehydrated patches that show up randomly. As soon as they appear, I do my usual skincare routine and then slap on ThirstyMud and sleep in it, when I wake up the next morning, my face is smooth and ready for a flawless makeup application. It's fab, but why does it have to be so damn expensive!?
Yankee Candle Large Jar - Egyptian Musk | £21.99 | Yankee Candle |
I can't remember a time I paid full-price for a Yankee Candle, I buy the large jars on eBay for around £16. I always go into a Yankee Candle shop, smell all the candles, buy votives or wax melts, test them out and whichever ones I fall in love with, I buy a large jar. That's what happened with Egyptian Musk; I pretty much want to bathe in it. It's a mixture of musk, vanilla bean and hints of cedarwood. When burning it, it fills the whole house with a sexy musky aroma. I don't know why I want my house to smell sexy, but it does and I like it.
I guess April was a scent-off, coconut, Shea butter, vanilla, musk and rose are probably my top favourite smells. Going to sniff my candle now.
