Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer Review

Anastasia Beverly Hills is pretty much the queen of brow products, so when the Brow Definer was released, I immediately added it to my basket and pretty much lived on my doorstep until it was delivered, (okay, slight exaggeration, but it was highly anticipated). I've got both the Dip Brow Pomade and Brow Wiz, so testing this out was a must.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer - Medium Brown | £16 | Beauty Bay |

I've been using this non-stop for the whole two months that I've had it, and I really like it. Similar to the Brow Wiz, it's dual-ended, with a spoolie on one side for blending, and the product on the other. The shape of the Brow Definer is unique as it has a wide, angled tip which can be used two different ways. The wide side is used to define the shape of the brows, and the tip to fill in the rest, it can also be used to create small hair-like strokes making the eyebrows look on fleek. The consistency of the product is fairly hard but it makes it easier to create brow hairs, and if you mess up, it's easily rectifiable due to the small amount of pigment it lays down. As for longevity - my brows always look perfect at the end of the day.

The spoolie on the Brow Definer is a lot bigger than the Brow Wiz and I wasn't sure whether I'd like it but after using it a few times I got used to it and it combs through the brows really well and blends product evenly.

The Brow Definer is so much easier to use than the other ABH products I have because of the wider part; it's really simple to underline the brow. I also really like how many colours are available, there will definitely be a colour to suit everyone. I use medium brown, which is a pale chocolate brown with cool undertones, and works perfectly with my (dark brown with caramel highlights) hair.

My only critique is that the sharp tip becomes rounded and dull very quickly. It's still easy to use and get a sharp line but not so easy to create the little flicks at the beginning part of the eyebrow.

Do I like it more than the Brow Wiz? I'm not sure, I'll get back to you on that one.

Have you tried any Anastasia Beverly Hills brow products?

  3. I actually pictured you waiting patiently at your door for this to arrive..You know like the time lapse videos in films when people are waiting for something for so long that they start going grey or something hahaha.

On the other hand, this looks like such a wonderful creation. I need to try ABH eyebrow products ASAP, i've been putting it off for so long!

    Great review :)

  4. I'm so intrigued by this, I love dipbrow so just not sure how this will compare for me. I'm going to have to try it out. Shame the nib doesn't stay sharp though, I like an eyebrow flick! x

  5. Hi Sarah, glad I came across this as i've not tried her brow products but have been looking at them for a couple of years. I've recently picked up a Blinc brow product which is fab.

  6. Fab post lovely, I’ve just picked this up actually as I was running out of my brow wiz - I saw the spoolie also and wasn’t too sure about it. Looking forward to seeing how you think it compares and if you prefer it :)
