A lovely little email pinged into my inbox last week informing me that Cult Beauty was stocking the new Anastasia Beverly Hills Illuminators. New. They were only released in the U.S. last month and us poor beauty lovers in the UK usually have to wait months for the gorgeousness to cross the Atlantic. I mean, come on, I need them ABH glosses in my life already! I knew I had to pick one of the highlighters as soon as I could. I'd been stalking them on Instagram like some weird, creepy make up freak and now it was finally mine <insert insane laugh here>
I bought Starlight as it was the lightest shade and perfect for fair skin. It's a stunning white gold powder highlight that is described as 'a finely milled, pearlescent formula' that highlights without shimmer, there is no glitter, none. The powder is highly pigmented with a mosaic pattern and a compact mirror.
I use my Sigma F35 - Tapered Highlighter brush for application, it's the perfect size to add a glow to the top of the cheekbones and the cupids bow or anywhere else you fancy. I've worn this everyday since it arrived on my doorstep and I love it. The longevity is really good, it wears for approximately eight hours and gives a beautiful wet-look to the face. When I first wore it, I couldn't stop looking in the mirror. I'm all about the highlight life and this illuminator is perfection.
There are three other colours, So Hollywood - true gold, Peach Nectar - apricot gold, and Riviera - rose gold. Each illuminator is ideal for specific skin tones and although I'm super-pale-ghost-girl, I've been eyeing up Riviera. Maybe one day it will be introduced to my drawer of highlighters.
