September is coming to an end and it's been a pretty good month. I was reunited with my best friend, my parents came to visit with my nephew, I got to meet and go shopping with the gorgeous Tania (When Tania Talks), my boyfriend turned 30 and I was published in The Guardian (you can read that here, if you're interested).
Let's get on with my favourites, it's Nars heavy, I couldn't help it.
An eye shadow in a stick form that blends effortlessly and is extremely easy to apply. I was drawn to Goddess as it's a subtle pink champagne with pink and gold shimmer, great for everyday wear. The pigmentation appears with one swipe and I've been wearing it all over the lid with a matte powder shadow in the crease. I find that I need to wear a primer or it'll slide all over the place - I do have particularly oily eyelids though. When I haven't worn Goddess on my lids, I've used it as an inner-corner highlight and it's beautiful.
There is no other lip gloss as perfect as Chelsea Girls, I feel like I should dedicate my whole post to it as I'm quite simply in love. It's a pink beige with peach undertones and can be worn alone or on top of a lipstick/liner. I've been wearing it over Charlotte Tilbury's lip cheat in Pillow Talk and they are a match made in heaven. The gloss is light, applies easily with a doe-foot applicator and not overly tacky - it wears for a substantial amount of time for a lip gloss. If you haven't got your hands on Chelsea Girls, I highly suggest you change that and nab it now.
I have a whole review on this foundation here and my opinion hasn't changed, I'm still a massive fan. I love the coverage, the colour suits my skin tone really well, the longevity is great and it's really easy to apply. I fear I may go through my Sheer Glow fairly quickly as I can't stop wearing it.
I wandered into The Body Shop last month having not ventured in for over a year (I know, I know, I call myself a beauty blogger) searching for a decent hand cream. My hands get significantly more dry as the colder months make an appearance so I knew I needed to stock up on cream. I headed straight to the Shea, cocoa and coconut section as they're my favourite type of scents...let's not mess about, I'm obsessed with Shea butter. I tested it out in store and picked up two creams in Shea and one coconut as it was 3 for £10. I now carry a cream in my bag and leave one on my bedside as they're amazing. They're a light formula that soak into the skin quickly and don't leave that greasy, slippery feeling to the hands; I hate creams that require no touching anything for an hour after I've applied it. My hands feel instantly moisturised and left smelling lovely. Great hand cream for an even better price.
I got this as a Christmas present from my brother and only recently just started wearing it again; I have so many perfumes and really should alternate more, but you know when you fall in love with a scent and can't get enough? I'm like that with Downtown now, it smells like summer. I'm rubbish at describing perfume but Google tells me: Top notes - Italian cedrat, bergamot (because we all know what they smell like), Tunisian neroli, green pear, watery plum; Mid - pink peppercorn, violet leaf, gardenia petals; Dry - Texan cedar wood, incense, vetiver, velvet musks. So, yeah, a musky, florally sexiness. The scent lingers for ages, I love it.
